Mathilda is successful, attractive, and has a loving boyfriend. The world is at her feet. But her boyfriend’s marriage proposal triggers an avalanche of emotions that leads Mathilda to make some questionable life decisions – decisions that ultimately put her life in jeopardy.
That’s the plotline of hit Swedish comedy drama Vuxna Människor. And we were delighted to be asked to help promote the show across a number of media channels.
With the series being a spinoff from the original film released in the 90s, we wanted to find a visual language that flirted with that era. So we developed a fairly muted, toned-down expression, while retaining an emotional resonance.
We used an escalator as a backdrop because this plays a central role in the action and creates great opportunities for strong camera angles and expressive design.
The characters really came to life in this fantastic Key Art campaign that generated extensive traction in media throughout Sweden.
